SHARKS
UNDEFEATED IN FOUR STRAIGHT WITH WIN OVER BAYTOWN
The sharks maintained their perfect season record with an
abbreviated win over the Baytown Buccaneers. Rain
threatened to stop the meet several times but held on until
event 60 prompting the team representatives to meet and
determine the outcome. The Sharks edged passed the
Buccaneers 295 to 287.
Baytown is a very strong team and with the Nauticats, was
heavily favored to win the division. With great effort
from all our swimmers, we were able to prevail and keep our
perfect season intact.
Next week, we have an away meet with the Nassau Bay Nauticats.
A win here will clinch our division championship. Please
make every attempt to get your swimmers there.
Click here for map to their pool. We will need
everyone to get this win since our season is ending with the two
strongest teams in the division.
Just a note: parking is in a neighborhood for this meet
so its very limited and if you get there late, you may be
parking very far away. Just swing by the entrance to the
pool and drop off your stuff and swimmers. Cones will show
you where you cannot park. See ya there at our last
regular season meet.

Meet
Parents, check the time sheets at the practices to see if
your swimmer has achieved champ/reserve times. If so and
you would like for your swimmers to participate in the
Championship Series on June 30 and July 1st (Novice/Reserve and
Champ, respectively), you must turn in your requested strokes
and the money ($2.00 per event) to Coach Melinda by Monday, June
25. If you do not, your swimmer cannot swim in the
Championship Series.
This Series is a great experience for swimmers because they
get to compete with swimmers from every division who achieved
champ times or better. It will be held in Baytown at Ross
Sterling High School. It is an eight lane indoor pool with
touch pads. For some, it doesn't get any better than this.
The Annual Team Banquet and Awards Ceremony will be Thursday,
July 12 at 7:00 pm at St. Luke's Church on Hall Rd. [
